Job description

The Role

We’re looking for a creative, culturally sharp, part-time Social Media video creator to help grow and energize our presence across TikTok and Instagram. This role blends creator energy with brand-building discipline: you’ll help bring Soapbox to life through content, conversation, and community.

You’ll work closely with our Brand & Marketing team to execute social content that builds relevance, drives discovery, and turns everyday routines into moments people want to share.

Responsibilities

Own on-camera content for TikTok & Instagram

  • Star in and produce short-form videos that drive reach, saves, shares and engagement
    • Show up consistently on camera-in feed/reels and story content
    • Collaborate with team members, including our CEO, to film compelling videos featuring our products, employees, and community
    • Translate trends into beauty-first, Soapbox-relevant content fast

Create & edit high-performing short-form video

  • Film, edit, and deliver UGC-style, trend-driven, and original formats
  • Optimize hooks, pacing, captions, and visual storytelling for platform performance

Collaborate with the Social & Brand team (not lead strategy)

  • Plug into the brand content calendar and monthly priorities
  • Offer creative ideas and formats while staying focused on execution

Support brand moments when relevant

  • Participate in launches, shoots, and occasional mission-based or community events (when feasible)

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine obsession with social media, trends, and digital culture
  • Strong beauty literacy: hair, skincare, routines, results, and what actually performs. Ideally, ingredient-savvy or willing to learn
  • Creator energy: comfortable on camera, confident storytelling, natural presence
  • Sharp editing and content instincts (CapCut, Canva, native tools, etc.)
  • A voice that’s smart, warm, and culturally fluent
  • Organized, self-directed, collaborative and comfortable moving fast
  • Familiarity with the TikTok and Meta platforms as well as tools like Canva and scheduling platforms (Later, Sprout, etc.)

At Soapbox, we believe better care creates meaningful change. We are a mission-driven beauty brand working to bring better care to everyone by uniting performance, purpose, and impact.

Every product we sell is thoughtfully formulated to perform, and every purchase helps fund life-changing donations of soap, clean water, and hygiene education around the world. We’re here to make everyday care feel meaningful, modern, and powerful.

Our close-knit, passionate team is cultivating a brand defined by genuine passion and high energy: deeply fluent in clean beauty, visually refined, and consistently delivering real beauty results without compromise.

If you believe beauty should stand for something – and still look incredible on camera – you’ll be right at home.
