What this job involves This position requires a versatile General Technician with expertise in fire life safety systems, pharmaceutical environments, and carpentry. You'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring safety and compliance in sensitive environments.

Your role will involve working with industrial machinery, facility systems, and specialized pharmaceutical equipment, as well as performing carpentry work and maintaining fire safety systems. Your day-to-day tasks will include Performing routine maintenance and repairs on diverse mechanical equipment Diagnosing mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and manual inspection techniques Conducting preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance Reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire life safety systems Performing carpentry work, including building and repairing structures and fixtures Adhering to safety protocols, regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used Physical Demands and Work Environment May require working in various environments, including indoor settings, cleanrooms, and pharmaceutical production areas Occasional exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals May involve working in confined spaces or at heights Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs) is required Flexible schedule may be necessary, including evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts Must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience each in pharmaceutical/cleanroom environments, and carpentry Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, including carpentry tools Ability to read and understand technical documentation and blueprints Knowledge of fire life safety codes and standards Understanding of cleanroom protocols and contamination control Carpentry skills, including measuring, cutting, and assembling wooden structures Experience supporting room configurations, office space setups, and workplace installations to create functional, code-compliant environments Preferred Qualifications Vocational training or associate degree in mechanical engineering, carpentry, or related field NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification Familiarity with cGMP guidelines and FDA regulations Experience with specialized pharmaceutical equipment Advanced computer skills for record-keeping and parts ordering This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
