Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our cold storage warehouse team. This role is responsible for safely operating forklift equipment to move, load, unload, and store products in a temperature-controlled environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to safety, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in cold conditions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage racks safely and efficiently
  • Transport materials to designated storage, staging, or shipping areas
  • Stack, organize, and properly store products to maximize space and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Perform routine pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
  • Verify, scan, and track inventory using warehouse management systems or RF scanners
  • Ensure loads are secure, balanced, and within weight limits before transport
  • Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse aisles and work areas
  • Report equipment malfunctions, damaged products, or safety concerns to supervisors
  • Assist with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and staging orders


Cold Storage-Specific Duties

  • Operate safely in sub-zero environments, including freezers and refrigerated areas
