We are seeking a high-energy Shipping Material Handler to join our Logistics team. You will be a key player in our Shipping Department, responsible for keeping production lines stocked and ensuring finished goods and scrap materials move efficiently toward outbound transit. This role requires precision in operating forklifts and tuggers within a busy dock environment while coordinating closely with our shipping schedulers.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Key Responsibilities

📦 Shipping & Logistics Productivity

  • Line & Dock Support: Keep lines stocked with parts/containers and move metal coils, scrap, and finished goods to designated shipping areas.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate and position forklifts, tuggers, cranes, conveyors, and chutes.

  • Inventory Coordination: Coordinate inventory levels and usage with the Shipping Scheduler and Material Coordinator.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and legible record logs for all inbound and outbound movements.

✅ Quality & Maintenance

  • Scrap Management: Ensure all shipping scraps are properly ticketed and promptly removed from the work area.

  • Facility Care: Immediately report any malfunctioning dock doors , locks, or vehicle issues to Maintenance and the BTL.

  • Leadership: Train new shipping operators and monitor team performance to meet production goals.

🛡️ Safety & Team Support

  • Dock Safety: Obey all traffic warnings (flashing lights, walkways) and follow ECPL (Energy Control Power Lockout) procedures.

  • Shift Readiness: Complete safety checklists at the start of every shift and keep the shipping aisles/common areas free of debris.

  • Collaboration: Fill in for operators as required to keep the shipping process running and assist team members to ensure quality parts.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

  • Physical Stamina: Constant reaching at waist level; frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders.

  • Strength: Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 38 lbs and push/pull 50 lbs .

  • Environment: Ability to work in a loud/noisy environment with parts that may be hot, cold, or wet.

  • Compliance: Must pass all required physicals and maintain updated EHS training.

  • Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to PPE requirements and ergonomic principles.
