Container chassis mechanics are skilled technicians who inspect, maintain, and repair the chassis used to transport shipping containers. • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to stand, lift, and move throughout long shifts.
  • A motivated team player who takes pride in quality work.
  • Meets FMCSA mechanical experience requirements.
  • Welding experience and/or hostler (yard jockey) skills are a big plus!ย
  • Familiarity with shop tools and equipment.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-focused.
  • Basic personal tools and reliable transportation to the yard.
If Selected, You'll Need To:
  • Pass a Physical Capabilities Test and drug screening.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Live within 45 minutes of Syracuse, NY (no relocation offered).
What You Can Expect in Return:

  • Outstanding Union Benefits through Teamsters: Free medical (after 60 days), dental, and vision coverage.
  • Free life insurance.
  • Paid holidays, personal days, and vacation time.
  • Boot reimbursement to keep you equipped.
  • 401(k) with annual company contributions.
  • A direct-hire role with Pacific Rail Services (not the railroad) in a stable field.
