Manager, Consumer Research
We are seeking a talented Manager to join the Consumer Research and Insights team within the Customer organization working across the Foot Locker inc. brand portfolio. In this role, the Manager, Consumer Research will be responsible for utilizing tools of primary and secondary market research and data analysis to provide unbiased, objective, in-depth understanding of the market, product performance, customers, and competitors. The ideal Manager, Consumer Research candidate will have strong project management and communication skills, analytical aptitude and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. A passion for putting the customer first is a must.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research, utilizing internal resources as well as vendor partners
  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods and ability to execute studies from start to finish
  • Participate in the framing of business questions, identification of information needs, and development of research/data analysis plan
  • Experience managing and distributing Market Share data and Brand Health study results.
  • Manage the research process to deliver objective, in-depth understanding of customers, competitors, product performance, and current and future market developments
  • Prepare and present market size, penetration, and market share data based on primary and secondary market research to various internal product, marketing, and strategy teams.
  • Identify and develop data sources to provide a 360-degree view of the market landscape to predict trends in market dynamics, competition, and customers
  • Engage in proactive and effective interaction with internal marketing and other clients

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years Market Research experience, preferably in a Retail or Consumer Service industry
  • Bachelors in Marketing, Psychology or Communications
  • Self-starter and able to navigate a start-up environment within a matrixed organization
  • Organized and an effective project manager
  • Highly analytical with exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, both locally and remotely
  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Office applications
  • Familiarity with syndicated data and insights providers (Circana, Statista, YPulse, etc.) as well as survey and tools (Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, DisplayR, etc.) is a plus
  • Online community management a plus

Benefits
The annual base salary range is $92,000-$100,000 This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
