Design the Next Generation of Fitness Equipment:

Are you passionate about turning ideas into real-world products? Join our product development team and help create innovative fitness equipment used by customers around the world.


As a Mechanical Designer II, you'll collaborate with Project Engineering, Industrial Design, and Factory Engineering teams to bring new products from concept through production. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on design work, solving technical challenges, and seeing their ideas become finished products in the market.


You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with global teams across North America and Asia while gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle.


What You'll Do:

Product Design & Development:

Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for components and assemblies

Support new product development from prototype through production launch

Collaborate with Industrial Design and Engineering teams to translate customer needs into innovative product solutions

Participate in technical design reviews and engineering discussions

Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Support tooling estimates, cost analysis, and manufacturability improvements

Work closely with factory engineering teams to optimize product quality, cost, and production efficiency

Participate in DFMEA activities, strength/fatigue analysis, and product validation testing


Production & Manufacturing Support:

Support new product introduction into mass production

Troubleshoot design and manufacturing challenges during production ramp-up

Review product samples, quality data, and inspection feedback

Identify value-engineering and continuous improvement opportunities

Collaborate with Asia-based engineering and manufacturing teams on design execution

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or related field - or equivalent hands-on experience

3+ years of mechanical design experience

Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)

Experience with plastic injection molding and consumer product design

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes

Excellent communication and collaboration skills


Preferred Experience:

Consumer product development experience

Experience working alongside Industrial Design teams

Familiarity with DFMA principles and tolerance stack analysis

Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards

Experience with metal fabrication and plastic manufacturing processes

Passion for hands-on design, building, or mechanical hobbies/projects
