Location: Denver, CO, USA (Onsite- two weeks Then Remote)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong CPG domain knowledge to support business operations, data-driven decision-making, and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will analyze business processes, gather requirements, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support solutions that improve efficiency across supply chain, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and retail execution.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Requirements & Analysis

  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders across CPG functions (Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Category Management, Finance).
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories.
  • Analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement or automation.

2. Domain-Specific CPG Responsibilities

  • Support initiatives related to:
    • Demand Planning & Forecasting
    • Trade Promotions Management (TPM/TPO)
    • Retail Execution & Merchandising
    • Pricing & Revenue Growth Management (RGM)
    • Supply Chain Optimization (Inventory, Distribution, Logistics)
    • New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Work with sales and category teams to analyze market share, POS data, Nielsen/IRI, and shopper insights.

3. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Create dashboards/reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar.
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure accurate CPG data flows.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product managers, data teams, IT teams, and business units to deliver solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops, JAD sessions, sprint planning, and UAT.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and business teams.

5. Project Management & Delivery

  • Develop project documentation: BRD, FRD, process flows, use cases, test cases.
  • Manage timelines, risks, and dependencies for CPG-related projects.
  • Support user training, change management, and deployment activities.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Strong knowledge of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry processes.
  • Experience with demand planning, trade promotions, sales analytics, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI/Tableau.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Nielsen, IRI, SAP ECC/S4 HANA, APO, TPM, or retail analytics tools.
  • Exposure to digital transformation or D2C/eCommerce projects.
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Certification: CBAP, CCBA, Product Owner (CSPO), Scrum Master (CSM).

Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • MBA preferred but not mandatory.
