Job Summary
The Consumer Bank Product Segment Manager leads a team responsible for the strategy, development, and performance of consumer banking products. This role is pivotal in driving profitability while maintaining a moderate risk profile. The Manager leverages market research, data analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions. This position partners closely with analytics, underwriting, technology, and marketing teams to ensure products and services align with client needs and business objectives.
Essential Functions
  • Lead a team in the design, development, and management of consumer banking products and services.
  • Oversee product acquisition strategies, credit decisioning processes, and portfolio performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance product offerings and service delivery.
  • Utilize industry research, competitive intelligence, and data insights to identify and target profitable client segments.
  • Identify and resolve product and system inefficiencies that impact client acquisition and relationship deepening.
  • Manage vendor relationships to support product delivery and innovation.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve performance goals and foster professional growth.
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. (preferred)
  • OR equivalent experience (required)

Work Experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial services or a comparable industry. (required)
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in product management, community development, marketing, or communications, with a strong emphasis on compliance and risk management. (preferred)

Licenses and Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI (preferred)

  • Driving continuous improvement and introducing new ideas to enhance product offerings, customer value, and competitive advantage.
  • Ensuring that product features, services, and enhancements are closely aligned with evolving customer expectations and behaviors.
  • Streamlining processes, reducing waste, and improving workflows to enhance product delivery, scalability, and profitability.
  • Collaborating with marketing teams to position products effectively, develop go-to-market strategies, and support customer acquisition and engagement.
  • Applying financial modeling, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis to support sound product decisions and business outcomes.
  • Communicating product vision, strategy, and value propositions clearly and persuasively to stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $116,000.00 - $216,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
