Job description

Title: Field Service Technician - Toronto

Reporting to Field Service Manager

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada




We have an exciting opportunity for a full timeField Service Technicianto join our growing team located inToronto, Canada. The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site customer service support, troubleshooting and maintenance within their assigned territory. The Field Service Technician will work both on-site and out of the Toronto office. The Field Service Technician will be reporting to theField Service Manager.




Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair medical aesthetic devices in the Depot.
  • Pick, pack and ship as well as receive system/parts/consumables/marketing materials when required.
  • Provide first level support to customers and Field Service Technician's over the phone to try and resolve the issue.
  • Perform on-site product installations, upgrades and on-going service support and maintenance in assigned territory.
  • Utilize proven troubleshooting processes to diagnose and resolve technical issues electro-mechanical aesthetic and robotic aesthetic systems.
  • Manage service call scheduling, parts inventory, and administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Manage customer relationship, written documentation of service activities, and effective interaction and communication with internal technical support personnel, manufacturing, and sales.
  • Review available technical literature to maintain an awareness of current aesthetic and surgical practices and procedures.
  • Represent the company in a positive, professional manner in all dealings with customers, both external and internal.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.




Qualifications:

  • Associate degree with applicable work experience required. Bachelor's degree would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in ERP and CRM systems would be considered and asset.
  • 3+ years' prior field service experience, installation and troubleshooting complex electronic equipment or equivalent; experience in medical device industry or comparable capital equipment industry preferred.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and at times, 80lbs.
  • Fluent in English is mandatory; Fluent in Spanish or French would be considered an asset.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and your own vehicle.
  • Up to 80% travel may be required to meet customer needs.
  • Availability and flexibility to work after hours and weekends when needed during peak times.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Must possess basic software skills and computer literacy.
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze schematics, assembly drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with robotic instrumentation, automated instrumentation or aesthetic medical would be considered an asset.

Compensation:

  • Base salary range:$60,000-$67,000
