Job Summary:
The Program Technical Office will develop the automation philosophy and technicalย standards for the program and ensure consistency throughout the projects. During the projectย execution stage of the projects the Program Technical Officeย will support and provide oversight to the individualย project teams. The Program Technical Officetechnical manager will be accountable for the management of Program Technical Officedeliverables and contribute technically to the Program Technical Officeteam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and be accountable for the delivery of the Program Technical Officeย scope.
- Plan, monitor and control Program Technical Officeactivities.
- Lead and manage the Program Technical OfficeTeam.
- Communicate progress, issues, and needs to the Automation Program Manager.
- Provide necessary progress data to the PMO to allow preparation of monthly reports toย stakeholders.
- Communicate automation staffing requests needed to meet project timelines to theย Overall Program Automation Leader & Program Automation Manager.
- Support preparation of cost estimates for project gate reviews and forecasts.
- Support schedule development, integration, and analysis for the projects.
- Identify and analyze risks of technical and management nature particular to the Program Technical Office.
- Provide technical consulting and support as a member of the Program Technical Office team.
- Collaborate with their Digital/MES workstream counterpart leads to align theย automation and digital solutions.
- Interface with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure the Program Technical Office deliverables meetย business needs.
- Maintain compliance with training requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years working Automation experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (preferable inย API/drug substance manufacturing).
- Previous experience in the delivery of large Automation Projects in the Pharmaceuticalย Industry.
- 5+ yearsโ experience in DeltaV Batch DCS.
- Preferable, previous experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Preferable, previous experience with Aveva PI.
- Proficiency in commonly used project management tools (scheduling P6/MS Project),metrics, risk management).
- Exceptional teamwork abilities.
- Strong knowledge of GMPโs, regulatory requirements and computer system validationย principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technicalย audiences.
