Job description

Consulting Project Manager Full-Time - MN Overview

The Consulting Project Manager will drive end-to-end project execution while working collaboratively with internal teams and customer stakeholders. This role oversees and delivers technology initiatives focused on Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) and Intelligent Automation (IA). The ideal candidate has a consulting mindset, a solid technical foundation, and a strong track record of delivering high-quality project outcomes. This position may also include occasional business and system analysis activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, resource allocation, dependencies, and risk management strategies
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including team members, clients, and vendors. Effectively navigate challenging conversations, shifting priorities, and evolving client needs
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of project deliverables, adhering to industry standards and best practices
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with the project, including technical, financial, and regulatory risks
  • Financial Management: Track project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives on time and within budget. Facilitate team meetings, remove impediments, and promote accountability and transparency across a team
  • Technical Oversight: Partner with practice and technical leadership to ensure the successful implementation of IDP and IA solutions
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous learning and process improvement, seeking opportunities to refine project management practices, delivery approaches, tooling, and documentation
Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of Project Management experience with a focus on technology projects, preferably leading software automation, or workflow-based projects
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as required
  • Strong understanding of IDP and IA technologies (or ability to quickly learn emerging tools and platforms)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business analysis skills
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects concurrently
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PgMP, CSM)
  • Prior consulting or client-facing services experience
  • Experience with specific IDP and IA tools and platforms
Location:

Genus Technologies is located in downtown Minneapolis, MN. This role is in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Estimate Pay Range:

$100,000-$130,000 base salary is the estimated range for this role, based on a good-faith assessment at the time of posting. Actual base compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. This role is also eligible for additional variable compensation.
