Role Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Consulting Manager/Domain Leader with 15-18 years of expertise in the CPG/Retail /Manufacturing domain. The ideal candidate should have deep domain knowledge, a strong understanding of project delivery, and the ability to lead discovery sessions, engage with business teams, and shape strategic opportunities.
  • The individual should be hands-on in project execution while also fostering strong relationships with client business teams. While not responsible for P&L or sales targets, the candidate should be able to influence revenue growth by identifying opportunities in collaboration with sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Consulting Leadership
  • Lead discovery sessions for key projects, engaging with business teams to shape roadmaps and execution strategies.
  • Develop Business Relationships and Work closely with customer's business teams to identify challenges, define solutions, and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Be a trusted advisor to senior executives and business stakeholders, leveraging deep retail industry expertise.
  • Shape strategic consulting initiatives, advising clients on digital transformation, omnichannel strategies, customer experience enhancements, and operational efficiency.
  • Project & Delivery Ownership
  • Act as a core part of the project team, ensuring seamless delivery execution and solutioning.
  • Bring a hands-on, solution-oriented approach to critical retail projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business teams, to drive execution excellence.
  • Strategic Influence & Business Growth
  • Not a sales role but should be able to shape and influence opportunities by identifying business needs.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to align consulting solutions with client business objectives.
  • Maintain strong client relationships that enhance long-term engagement and revenue growth, without direct P&L responsibility.
  • Thought Leadership & Team Development
  • Stay ahead of retail industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving consumer behaviors.
  • Contribute to the firm's thought leadership through insights, whitepapers, and client discussions.
  • Deep domain knowledge in a couple of areas -Merchandising, Store operations, Supply chain, Digital

Required Qualifications

  • 15-18 years of experience in consulting, specifically in the Retail and Consumer Goods sectors.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies and experience leading consulting engagements.
  • Proven expertise in digital transformation, omnichannel strategies, customer experience, supply chain optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent client engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and solutioning mindset, with hands-on experience driving project execution and business value realization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive actionable outcomes and influence long-term client success.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Retail, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of global CPG/retail market dynamics and their application to local markets.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms , AI & ERP systems like SAP, Salesforce, Snowflake, Cloud (AWS) systems
