Unit8 SA

Montreal, QC • On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 18 days ago

Job description

Who We Are

Unit8, founded in 2017, is a high-tech, dynamic Swiss leader in AI and data analytics consulting, renowned for solving complex challenges in traditional industries such as automotive, chemical, financial services, manufacturing, and pharma. Our esteemed partnerships with industry giants like Palantir, NVIDIA, and OpenAI underscore our commitment to excellence. With over 200 successful projects and a team of 170+ talented professionals across Switzerland, Poland, and Germany, we are now expanding our footprint to Canada.

Our misssion

Unit8 is dedicated to driving AI adoption in non-digital industries, accelerating their digital transformation. We invest in projects that matter, including pro-bono initiatives and "engineering for good" causes.

Are You the team member we are looking for?

Following our remarkable growth in Europe and our recent expansion into the US market in early 2026, Unit8 is now taking its next strategic step in North America. We are seeking an entrepreneurially minded Senior Data & AI Consultant/Consulting Lead to establish our Canadian presence. You will be part of the Unit8 Data & AI Consulting Practice, driving the whole lifecycle from business development to project delivery and client relationship building. You will become a core team member and take responsibility for scaling up the consulting practice within a fast-growing professional services provider in Data & AI.

What You’ll Do
Your role can evolve and will depend on our clients’ and internal challenges.

In general, you will:

  • Work closely with the head of our Data & AI Consulting practice as part of a small, high-performing team
  • Identify the use cases — across analytics, generative, and agentic AI — that actually create business value for our clients from strategy to implementation
  • Guide clients on their journey to becoming truly data- and AI-driven, by assessing their data, analytics and AI maturity, spotting the use cases that deliver value across analytics, generative and agentic AI, and shaping a pragmatic roadmap to get there
  • Team up with our data engineers, data scientists, AI engineers and solution architects to turn those use cases into impactful solutions, from modern data platforms and analytics products to machine learning and AI applications.
  • Shape the critical enablers that make data and AI work at scale, such as data & AI governance, LLMOps and MLOps, responsible, compliant AI, and the operating models behind data and AI centers of excellence
  • Contribute to our business development in preparing and participating in industry conferences, workshops and client conversations
  • Support the creation of white papers and industry thought leadership on data science & AI-related topics

Requirements

You are

  • Equipped with 5-10 years of work experience in a leading management consultancy at the intersection of business & technology or an equivalent experience in a corporate environment
  • Backed with a track record of advising clients on data and AI (e.g. Agentic AI, GenAI, data & AI platforms) and seeing those engagements through to real outcomes and solutions
  • Able to walk into ambiguity and make the judgement to quickly find the relevant things that matter to clients, either during an ongoing project or business development activities
  • Talented in building lasting relationships with clients and team members
  • Holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT/computer science, engineering, business, mathematics, or natural sciences.
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus

Benefits

What We Offer

At Unit8, we don’t just turn data into value – we empower the people who make it possible. If you are looking for a place where you can take ownership, your next chapter starts here.

  • Groundbreaking Opportunity & Footprint. As one of our first Canadian hires, you will play a pivotal role in establishing Unit8’s presence in this emerging market. You get to shape how the practice operates, which clients we target, and what we are known for in Canada.
  • Pioneering Autonomy. We offer the freedom and entrepreneurial ownership to drive our growth strategy. You will have the autonomy to decide how we deliver maximum value in this new geography.
  • High-Stakes Work. You will work on critical projects that transform how major industries operate.
  • A "Builder" Culture. We are not a slide-deck consultancy. We build things that work. Our consultants work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers and data scientists who ship production systems. You'll close the loop between strategy and delivery, not hand it off.
  • Shared Success (Profit Share). We win together, and we share the rewards together. Beyond a competitive base salary, we offer a transparent profit-share model. When Unit8 thrives, you directly benefit from the fruits of our collective impact.

Please submit your application materials exclusively in English.

Unit8 is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all individuals are valued and respected. We believe that diversity drives innovation and enhances our ability to serve our clients effectively. As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where everyone can thrive and contribute to our mission.

We look forward to hearing from you!
