Job description

Description & Requirements
The Forvis Mazars Internship Program is an excellent opportunity for students who would like to gain valuable experience and exposure to the consulting department of the Forvis Mazars Springfield office. As a Healthcare Consulting Intern, you will work on client engagements like those assigned to our entry-level consultants and be able to test out your technical know-how. You will work alongside our senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience as you develop your skill set.
You will be trained in the preparation of annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, and other projects as needed. In addition, you could be involved with data analytics through the use of various technology tools. Generally, this winter internship runs from mid-January through May 31st.
We are looking for students who have Forward Vision and:

  • Ability to work in a quick-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Available to work 15-25 hours per week required

Hours Requirement:
We are able to be flexible with your school schedule providing you are able to:
  • Accommodate our normal business hours of Monday-Friday 8am - 5 pm
  • Commit to at least 15-25 hours per week

Qualifications:
  • Ability to balance academic schedule with workload for multiple clients and projects while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Fluency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Intern candidates must be working toward a bachelor's degree in accounting
    • Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework is expected
    • Interns must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person
