QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in guidance counseling
Valid Texas counseling certificate
Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and career development
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Two years teaching experience

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Assist teachers and teach campus developmental guidance
Counsel individual students and small groups
Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and others
Use an effective referral process
Develop and implement the campus testing program
Plan and implement school guidance and counseling programs
Comply with policies established by federal and state law
Comply with all federal, state, district and campus laws and policies
