Job description

B.H. Inc., is looking to hire a full-time Construction Estimator to complete a full range of business activities in a professional setting while adhering to the highest ethical standards. BHI is looking for someone who is a well-rounded individual with experience and knowledge in vertical, commercial construction. Estimators have the opportunity to learn from highly skilled business leaders. Our estimator will assist in managing projects from initial customer/business development contact, through conceptual budgets, design progress budget iterations, price control and final estimate pricing to the final job setup and turnover to the operations team. The estimator will assist with project buy out and set the groundwork for the operations team to execute according to the estimate. This is not a remote position, however the location is flexible. The following are the BHI office locations available for this position: North Salt Lake, UT (Primary office for Preconstruction /estimating), Ogden, UT, Vernal, UT and Saint George, UT.

As a Construction Estimator, you will earn a salary of $110,000-$150,000 DOE, which is paid weekly. You will also be eligible for benefits including health, vision, dental, life insurance, a 401k plan with a match, and paid time off (PTO). QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ESTIMATOR
  • 5-10 years of experience estimating projects in commercial general contracting.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, owners and architects.
  • Detail oriented
  • Understanding of estimating processes including bid invitations, takeoffs, estimating software, plan & specification review.
  • Solid background with estimating software, including takeoff software (ProEst), bid invitation software (Building Connected), Excel, Word & Bluebeam. Experience with similar takeoff and bid invitation software and platforms is sufficient.

A degree in construction management and estimating experience is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
