Bound Construction is a dynamic Construction Management firm seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for a New York-based role with projects throughout the Tri-State area. As a leader in Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, and EV Charging Infrastructure projects, Bound offers the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting assignments while collaborating with industry experts. Our work environment is both challenging and client-focused.

Candidates should have over 5 years of construction experience, with expertise in interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to maintain workflow and productivity.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and other documentation for on-site activities.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and company policies; conduct regular toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
  • Schedule and supervise critical path activities, ensuring efficient utilization of labor and materials.
  • Collaborate with project managers to maintain project schedules and budgets, providing regular updates on on-site progress.
  • Facilitate coordination between trades, ensuring work is sequenced and completed efficiently.
  • Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment allocation, and site organization.
  • Conduct pre-installation meetings to ensure all parties understand the scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Monitor and enforce quality control standards, ensuring all work meets project requirements and client expectations.

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams on-site.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
  • Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
  • 5–7 years of on-site construction management experience.
  • Experience in interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services.
  • Experience with healthcare construction projects is highly preferred.
