The Opportunity

We're looking for a hands-on accounting professional with experience in residential or commercial construction accounting. You'll own the day-to-day accounting functions while partnering closely with leadership to improve financial visibility, maintain accurate job costing, and support better business decisions.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact now while developing into a larger leadership role as the company continues to grow.

What You'll Do
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and general ledger maintenance
  • Maintain accurate job costing across multiple active construction projects
  • Reconcile project costs and ensure financial data aligns with project budgets
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare financial reports for leadership
  • Monitor project budgets, identify cost variances, and provide timely reporting
  • Support cash flow tracking and forecasting
  • Work closely with project managers and leadership to ensure financial accuracy across all projects
  • Utilize Procore and QuickBooks to maintain accurate project and financial records
  • Help improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls as the company grows
  • Assist with audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements as needed
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction
  • Strong understanding of job costing and construction financial processes
  • Hands-on experience using Procore is strongly preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
