Job description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for budgeting, organizing, implementing, and scheduling the projects. This position will require bags-on work when needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Job Site and Project Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of high-end residential construction projects, ensuring progress aligns with the project schedule and specifications

  • Monitor and enforce adherence to project timelines, milestones, and deadlines

  • Coordinate with the project management team, design team, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality control and compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and standards

  • Schedule and supervise inspections to ensure compliance with safety, legal, and quality standards

  • Identify and resolve any construction-related issues or delays promptly to maintain project flow

  • Ability and desire to work alongside the field crew on a regular basis

Team Leadership and Coordination:

  • Supervise and manage the field crew, subcontractors, and other on-site staff, ensuring effective communication and teamwork

  • Provide direction and support to the team to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest quality and within schedule

  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and professionalism


Quality Control:

  • Ensure all construction and carpentry work meets the high standards required for luxury homes, maintaining superior craftsmanship and attention to detail

  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality of work, materials, and processes

  • Approve purchase orders for materials and services in line with the budget and project needs

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety standards on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines

  • Conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure all workers are properly trained on safety protocols

Client Communication:

  • Maintain a professional relationship with clients, providing regular updates on progress, issues, and milestones

  • Address any client concerns or issues related to construction and offer solutions in a timely manner

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, labor reports, change orders, and other critical documents

  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager and General Manager


Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on high-end residential projects

  • 10+ years experience in Carpentry, with a range of technical knowledge

  • Proven experience in managing luxury residential construction projects from start to finish

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations

  • Proven leadership skills with the desire and ability to train, mentor, coach, and motivate a team
