Job description

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Timekeeping Supervisor and working as part of a team, the Project Timekeeper will perform timekeeping and craft payroll activities for the Project. The position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality with strong ethical behavior in workplace practices, a customer-service orientation with a demonstrated professional demeanor and communication style, flexibility, and commitment to meeting deadlines. The position requires overtime on a weekly basis.

The timekeeping team works when the craft professionals work. Ability to work Saturdays and some holidays required. Coverage of swing shift or night shift may also be required to fill in for colleagues assigned to those shifts.

Major Responsibilities:
Coordination with Labor Relations to ensure prompt input of all required payroll information for Craft Professionals into project timekeeping and payroll systems.
Data entry includes but is not limited to new hire information, terminations, rate and classification changes, etc.
Onboarding of project new hires to include badging for all site personnel.
Verification of daily craft attendance using the project electronic timekeeping system (eTrack).
Review, balancing (reconciliation) and exporting of daily time records for craft employees.
Replacement badging and time clock maintenance/troubleshooting.
Creation and distribution of daily/weekly reporting such as force report, attendance infractions, timesheet completion, etc.
Sorting, validation and distribution of weekly craft payroll checks/direct deposit slips.
Processing of requests for time off and daily call-ins for craft employees.
Maintenance of craft employee files to include scanning for records retention.
Crew timesheet maintenance as directed by construction supervision.
Gate watch (badge scanning) for personnel at the project site.
Provide payroll-related customer service to craft professionals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree related (or international equivalent) and 1-2 years of timekeeping/payroll experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends/holidays.
Well developed communication, time management and organizational skills.
Strong customer service background.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently to identify and resolve routine problems.
