We are a relationship-driven builder known for strong client partnerships, quality work, and a culture rooted in integrity, safety, and accountability.
Projects typically range from $1M to $25M and include remodel, tenant improvement, ground up, and site development construction.
At AGI, our Safety Manager is a key member of the team, supporting projects from planning through completion while helping protect our employees, subcontractors, clients, and company. This role leads and continuously improves AGI's safety program by partnering with project teams to promote safe work practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a proactive safety culture. Supporting multiple active construction projects, the Safety Manager provides field management through regular jobsite visits, safety training, incident management, and practical risk solutions to help ensure every employee returns home safely each day.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and administer AGI's company-wide Safety Program, including the Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership, coaching, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a visible safety presence by conducting regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and observations.
  • Identify hazards, conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs) and project-specific risk assessments, and work with project teams to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Develop, schedule, and deliver safety training, new hire orientations, and required regulatory training.
  • Maintain current knowledge of OSHA, SWPPP, and other applicable regulations, ensuring company compliance and adoption of industry best practices.
  • Maintain employee training records, certifications, OSHA logs, safety documentation, and other required regulatory records.
  • Lead the reporting, investigation, and documentation of workplace injuries, near misses, vehicle accidents, property damage, and other safety incidents, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Monitor safety performance metrics, evaluate program effectiveness, prepare reports for leadership, and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and safety initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with employees, subcontractors, and project teams while supporting company-wide safety goals and fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

What You Bring
  • Minimum of 5+ years of commercial construction safety experience, including responsibility for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA construction safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Working knowledge of SWPPP requirements and Best Management Practices (BMPs).
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and jobsite operations.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between project sites.
  • Good communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).
  • Experience with CMiC, or similar construction management software preferred.
