Providence Infrastructure Consultants (PIC) is seeking an experienced and driven Construction Services Manager. PIC is actively engaged in the design and construction of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities associated with the Construction Services Manager will be responsible for coordinating and providing engineering construction support services to construction contractors on heavy civil projects. These projects include water and wastewater related pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities. In this role, the manager will ultimately be responsible for:
Managing / supervising field engineering personnel. 
  • Participating in weekly / biweekly construction meetings. 
  • Coordinating the processing of contractor submittals by staff engineers.   
  • Coordinating responses to field questions and contractor RFIs.
  • Reviewing, coordinating, and documenting construction contract changes.
  • Approving of contractor pay requests.  
  • Performing periodic site visits to construction sites.
  • Monitoring construction schedules and working with contractors to meet deadlines.
  • Ensuring field reports are prepared in a timely fashion as part of the project record.  
  • Creating and tracking support services budget.
  • Ensuring specified construction quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Preparing and distributing project planning progress reports to project owners.
  • Participating in project completion, commissioning, and close out.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Construction Management, Engineering, or similar technical degree or education.
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven record of partnering with engineers and contractors.
  • Strong financial / budget acumen and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to hold contractors / sub-contractors accountable in a collaborative fashion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to make job site visits to support and manage projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and Outlook).
