Construction Quality Control / Quality Assurance - Tukwila, Washington

What are we looking for?

The Construction QC / QA Inspector is responsible for conducting jobsite inspections and materials testing throughout the SeaTac Area.

Salary & Benefits Information:

The base wage or salary range for this position is $35 - $55/HR. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:   

  • Perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and inspection duties under general supervision
  • Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
  • Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Maintain and calibrate standard equipment
  • Make detailed observations and gives the interpretation of results
  • Train/supervise and perform complex assignments and work tasks
  • Attend project meetings alone without supervision
  • Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
  • Communicate effectively with client and project teams

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant construction inspection, quality assurance and quality control experience on transportation/heavy civil projects
  • ACI and ICC Certifications
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record
  • Must have Basic Math, Calculator, and Computer Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in English
  • Must be able to read plans and specifications
  • Must be able to work off shifts and overtime
  • Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications. are necessary
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
  • Ability to kneel, squat and climb occasionally
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One or more of the following certifications: ICC, ACI, Nuclear Gauge, WABO, WAQTC, and/or CWI
