Job description

Overwatch Construction Management is seeking a full-time, on-site Project Engineer near Stockton, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical and administrative support to the Project Manager and Superintendent
  • Responsible for project document control, i.e. RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc. 
  • Organize and maintain project files 
  • Assist with change order management. The PE shall be able to independently review change order requests for merit and fair pricing, and prepare change orders for processing. 
  • Manage the closeout and turn over process.
  • Assist Project Manager to prepare project files for audit at project completion. 
  • Site conditions verification and support as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-6+/- years of project engineer experience, including major capital projects including commercial buildings, including laboratories, hospitals, or other building projects of a technical nature
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and materials
  • Proficient in construction management software, such as Procore or Primavera P6
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
