Construction Manager โ Multifamily Residential
Location: Chicago, IL
Compensation: Up to $170,000 OTE
An established real estate development company is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join its growing team in Chicago. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the delivery of large-scale multifamily residential developments, working closely with design professionals, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day coordination of multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and overall site performance.
- Review construction documentation, technical drawings, and project correspondence to support successful delivery.
- Identify potential project risks and work with the team to develop practical solutions.
- Conduct routine site visits to track progress, verify quality, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Support procurement activities, contractor selection, and project reporting.
- Ensure all project records and documentation are maintained throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Assist with project closeout, inspections, and successful handover to operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 5โ10 years of experience within construction, development, or project management.
- Previous experience delivering ground-up residential or multifamily developments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to active project sites as required.
