TITLE: Construction Layout Surveyor


LOCATION: Southeast Michigan area, travel to projects in the Midwest with per diem

JOB TYPE: Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Construction Layout Surveyor to support commercial and industrial construction projects. This role is responsible for performing field layout, establishing control points, and ensuring accuracy between plans and field execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform construction layout for foundations, footings, anchor bolts, and walls
  • Conduct topographic and as-built surveys
  • Establish and maintain survey control points on job sites
  • Review drawings to confirm measurements and identify discrepancies
  • Communicate layout details with project teams to support field operations
  • Ensure all layout work is completed accurately and on schedule
  • Perform field measurements for elevations, alignments, and boundaries

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in construction surveying, layout, or field engineering
  • Experience using Total Stations, GPS systems, and survey equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and architectural drawings
  • Knowledge of construction methods and jobsite practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across the Midwest
