Reports To: Owner of DAP Construction Management

About DAP Construction Management

DAP Construction Management is a growing construction management company specializing in federal and government construction projects throughout Arizona and across the United States. We are committed to delivering high-quality projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, integrity, and professionalism.

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects from mobilization through closeout. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive field experience, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple trades while delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Position Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day field operations of assigned construction projects. This role coordinates subcontractors, manages project schedules, enforces quality and safety standards, and serves as the primary on-site representative for DAP Construction Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and self-performed work.
  • Maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 and ensure milestone dates are achieved.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and project turnover.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, as-built documentation, testing reports, and project records.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
  • Monitor project quality and proactively identify and resolve field issues.
  • Lead weekly subcontractor coordination and safety meetings.
  • Enforce OSHA and EM 385-1-1 safety requirements and promote a culture of safety on every jobsite.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Quality Control Managers, Owners, and Government representatives.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, logistics, and sequencing of work.
  • Ensure materials, equipment, and manpower are available to support project progress.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial and/or industrial construction experience in a Superintendent role.
  • Experience managing both vertical construction and civil/site utility projects.
  • Proven experience with both new construction and renovation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) systems.
  • Experience developing and maintaining construction schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
  • OSHA 30 certification or EM 385-1-1 training/certification (or ability to obtain as required).
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and quality control.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.

Preferred

  • Experience managing Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal construction projects.
  • Familiarity with USACE, NAVFAC, or other federal agency construction requirements.
  • Experience working on occupied facilities and secure installations.

  • This position requires access to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB). Candidates must be able to pass an in-depth background check in accordance with federal and base security requirements.
