 Job description

Riverwalk Apartments is seeking an assistant Superintendent to join our team for a ground-up multifamily construction project. We are looking for motivated professionals with some experience in the Construction field, or who has been educated in the Construction disciplines of this kind of skills of managing new construction projects involving apartments, hotels, or similar large-scale commercial/residential developments.


The ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of overseeing projects from start to finish while ensuring schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.  This person will be in the field, working with an experienced Project Manager.


Responsibilities

Assistant Superintendent Responsibilities

·        Oversee daily on-site construction activities

·        Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel, with an experienced Project Manager on site.

·        Ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope, with PM

·        Maintain job site safety and compliance standards

·        Conduct site inspections and quality control checks, with your tape measure in hand

·        Communicate project progress with ownership Project Manager.

·        Resolve field issues and construction delays efficiently

Qualifications

·        Educated in ground-up new construction projects required

·        Prior experience with apartment complexes and/or hotel construction preferred, however, will accept a young trainee.

·        Educated in an understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and project coordination

·        Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents

·        Excellent communication and leadership skills

·        Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

·        Understanding of construction management software is a plus
