Position Overview

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), we’re dedicated to delivering quality products and outstanding service to our customers across the building materials industry. As a Helper, you will be a key contributor to the success of our daily operations by supporting the safe, accurate, and timely loading and unloading of materials. With a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, you’ll help ensure our standards are met at every stop.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Warehouse Operations & Maintenance  
  • Verify truck is loaded and secured in accordance with company and C.V.O.R. standards
  • Unload, protect, move, and stage materials as specified by customer directive
  • When required, participate in annual physical inventories
  1. Safety
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
  • Use proper lifting techniques
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing

 

  1. Physical Job Requirements   
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
  • Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds, using proper lifting procedures; and occasionally pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying greater weights.  Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces.  Some functions may be performed as a team
  • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned

Compensation

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. The actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
