We are a leading industrial mechanical, electrical, and civil construction services provider for the fossil and nuclear power, pulp and paper, chemical, mining, and general manufacturing industries. We provide a full range of industrial facilities maintenance and process maintenance services.
Job Summary
MOR PPM Inc. Seeks Safety Advisors in/around Georgetown and Berkeley Counties. Site Locations are in Georgetown AND Cross SC.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health and safety of the workers, but also of the jobsite, environment and general public.
  • Inspect the jobsites and identify potential hazards, assess the risks and report potential hazards and take appropriate action.
  • Investigate incidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to field employees.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with manager to ensure safety strategies and programs align with corporate expectations and policies.
  • Assist in the response and correction of significant safety events, such as serious injury or illness, fatalities, regulatory action, etc.
  • Proactively recommend changes to protect workers and educate employees
  • Collect and validate safety records and complete safety audits.
  • Administer drug testing.
  • Administer basic First Aid.
  • Lead safety meetings.

Requirements:
  • Possess specified certifications, including, but not limited to OSHA 30.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain and practice workplace safety programs, procedures and policies.
  • Good interpersonal, customer service and communication skills with all levels within the organization.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strategize with safety team to support and drive a culture that embraces safety, recognizes hazards and takes action to minimize risk.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of cloud based technical programs such as O365 Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years experience in Industrial Construction and; in combination with at least 1 years experience in a Safety assignment
  • OSHA 30 (OSHA 500/501 strongly preferred.)
  • Forklift Trainer

Physical Demands
  • Occasional lifting of items weighting a maximum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairwells up to 15 levels high.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders (step, extension, cage) up to 24' high.
  • Able to walk at a normal pace for up to 15 continuous minutes.
  • Able to work from a standing position for 8-12 hours.
  • Ability to twist and bend on a recurring basis.
  • Weather conditions that can be expected are wet, humid, heat and cold, bright/dim light, traffic, heights, dusts, and pollen.
  • The job requires normal visual acuity, field vision, hearing, speaking, color perception, sense of smell, depth perception, and texture perception.
  • Some environments are in a high noise and vibrating area.
