Now Hiring: Rental Branch Manager – Houston, TX

Rental Branch Manager | Equipment Rental Manager | Heavy Equipment Rental Operations

Mustang Rental Services, a division of Mustang Cat, is seeking an experienced Rental Branch Manager to lead our North Houston rental operation. This role is responsible for the overall performance of the branch, including rental operations, team leadership, equipment readiness, customer service, and financial performance.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who understands the equipment rental business, knows how to keep a fast-paced operation running smoothly, and can build a strong team focused on safety and customer service.

What You'll Do:

As the Rental Branch Manager, you'll have responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of the branch. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, develop, and manage branch employees
  • Oversee daily equipment rental operations and workflow
  • Coordinate the rental process from initial customer request through delivery, return, inspection, and preparation for the next rental
  • Ensure rental equipment is inspected, repaired, maintained, and ready to meet customer demand
  • Oversee equipment repair and make-ready activities
  • Monitor equipment availability and utilization
  • Manage branch invoicing, administrative functions, and operational reporting
  • Develop and manage branch budgets and monitor financial performance
  • Maintain high standards for customer service and resolve customer concerns
  • Coordinate with service, transportation, sales, and other rental locations to support customer and operational needs
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment
  • Represent Mustang professionally with customers, employees, and the community

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the equipment rental industry
  • Previous experience managing or leading an equipment rental operation strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead employees and manage a fast-paced operation
  • Strong understanding of equipment rental processes and customer service
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
