Join our team! The Grand Traverse County Road Commission (GTCRC) is seeking an experienced Construction Engineering Technician. The Construction Engineering Technician performs both routine and technical engineering-related work for roadway construction. This position assists the County Highway Engineer in the application of principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering technology.The ideal candidate will possess experience in road construction/inspection, be familiar with MDOT Standards and Specifications for Construction, and have some knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods. The position includes field and office work. Experience with drone technology is useful, though not required.This position may have non-traditional hours during the summer construction season, including some evenings and weekends as needed, with more traditional and flexible work hours during the off-season.
