Job description

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Construction Engineering Project Manager for our client partner. This role will coordinate efforts, define critical paths, track progress and spend to budget, coordinate crossโ€‘departmental efforts, etc. Projects will mainly be electric distribution engineering projects to install new assets or upgrade existing infrastructure for customers. Looking for someone with solid experience in project management overlayed with construction management experience. In order of importance: Project Management, Construction Project Management, Utility Project experience (gas or electric) is preferred. PM to manage electric utility distribution projects to build and upgrade infrastructure. Can include multiโ€‘faceted, smaller projects at one location, like solar, electric service upgrades. All work is local to Dane County. Must be comfortable performing field oversight work. Senior candidates preferred but will consider midโ€‘level with 5+ years of relevant experience. Hybrid work schedule available.

Job Outline (fluid and may shift over time):
  • Tracking and managing inquiries from developers and architects
  • Coordinating project kickoff meetings - run by developers, builders, etc.
  • Coordination of feeder interconnections
  • Tracking and managing vault design process - architect, developer, builder
  • Tracking and managing customer coordination - temporary power, building demolition needs - general contractor, architect, developer
  • Customer material requirements
  • Tracking and managing material orders and lead times
  • Tracking and managing distribution process
  • Permits
  • Traffic Control
  • Street Occupancy
  • Easements
  • GWD design process
  • Coordinating with SaGIE on NVM
  • Construction coordination
  • Customer vault construction and materials
  • Cable trays, locks, doors, manโ€‘way and equipmentโ€‘way hatches, ladders, lighting circuits
  • Coordinate windows for equipment - ground rods, duct sleeves, pulling irons, sump pits, postโ€‘tensioned roof vault bolt patterns
  • Installation of associated Manholes and Duct Packages
  • Construction field support
  • Cable and Transformer installation
  • Unknown underground conflict review
