Job Title: Project Manager
Location: On-site

About Our Client:
Our client is a well-established leader in the commercial glass industry with over 60 years of proven success. They are recognized for their commitment to craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and innovation across a wide range of projects. Their services include the engineering, fabrication, and installation of entrance doors, storefronts, curtain walls, vestibules, glass railings, and shower doors. As they continue to grow, our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial glass projects from start to finish.

Position Overview:
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of commercial glass projects—ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of storefronts, curtain walls, and doors (including hardware), with hands-on experience coordinating with internal fabrication teams, installers, vendors, and clients. Familiarity with Oldcastle systems and industry software such as GDS and AutoCAD is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple glass and glazing projects from contract award through final closeout.
  • Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure project accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate and communicate with general contractors, architects, suppliers, and field crews.
  • Schedule and oversee fabrication and installation, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability; prepare and process change orders as needed.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate progress, verify dimensions, and resolve any issues in the field.
  • Ensure quality control and safety standards are maintained throughout all phases of the project.
  • Collaborate with the estimating and engineering teams to review drawings and resolve design challenges.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and address concerns.
  • Keep organized documentation for contracts, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the glass and glazing or commercial construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of doors, storefronts, curtain walls, and hardware systems.
  • Proficiency in GDS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Procore or Bluebeam is a plus.
  • Experience working with Oldcastle (or similar) systems preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results on schedule.
