Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Patient Sitter for RWJ Hamilton.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- BLS required through American Heart Association
Preferred:
- Prior experience in patient care preferred
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with others effectively
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Scheduling Requirements:
- 36 hours a week - Day shift with rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and rotating holidays required
Essential Functions:
- The Patient Sitter is support staff assigned to monitor and ensure the safety of patients, particularly those at risk of injury or requiring constant supervision,
- Their primary role is to prevent accidents, assist with non-medical needs, and provide companionship to the patient
