Job description

The Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a Behavioral Neurologist to join our practice.  The department includes nearly 50 board-certified neurologists and advanced practice providers who offer highly skilled, state-of-the art neurological care for patients with serious and complex neurological disorders. 

The successful candidate will support the Behavioral Neurology Division's rich and varied clinical practice and expansion of our Alzheimer's Disease therapeutics program.  Academic research and education are expected.  There is opportunity to work with our multicenter Arizona Alzheimer's Consortium and Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. Mayo Clinic in Arizona is also designated a Lewy Body Dementia Association Research Center of Excellence.  Resources are available to initiate and support academic research interests that are aligned with our programs. The division has one behavioral neurology fellow per year and all faculty are involved in resident and medical student teaching.

Candidates must have an M.D. or equivalent, be board-certified/board-eligible in Neurology by the ABPN, and be fellowship trained in Behavioral Neurology.

Candidates must also possess excellent clinical expertise and a demonstrable track record of academic success in research and education.  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines and neurological sub-specialties are required.
