Job description


Thank you for your interest in the ESC-COG substitute consortium.  You may begin completing the application by clicking on the red apply link at the top right of this page.  After your application has been submitted and processed,  you should 2 emails from the ESC:
1.  Email with a link to your hiring documents in Powerschool Records
2.  Email with a link to access your required online training courses in Public School Works
Below are the required online courses that need to be completed in Public School Works:
C-005  ESCCO Electronic Data Security  . All active ESC-COG substitutes are assigned a sub.escco.org  email address. This  course deals with electronic data security awareness. (annual course)
C-012 Substitute onboarding course (required at initial hire) 
C-013  PBIS Overview for Substitutes
M-017 Sexual Harassment
M-026 Bloodbourne Pathogens for School Employees (annual course)
M-049 Cybersecurity Awarness
M-134 Ohio Ethical Use of Tests
M-135 Ohio Ethics Law
M-251 Required Fraud Reporting and Training through Ohio Auditor of State
M-548 Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporting - Ohio
M-905 AED USe - Training for Educational Service Center Employees
You may want to gather the required documents before you begin work on your hiring documents
  • Licensure from ODE
  • BCI and FBI background checks results from the Ohio Attorney General's Office (completed within12 months of your employment application).  You will need an appointment to schedule your background check.  For additional information please go to http://www.escco.org/programs-services/fingerprinting-services/
  • attach a copy of your driver's license or state ID document 
  • attach a copy of social security card
  • attach direct deposit information 
  • Form I-9 Department of Homeland Security employment verification . A lilnk to set up an appointment to review your original documents is on our web site
