This region services the strategic business needs of teams across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Bridgestone and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand products and solutions to address the needs of a broad range of customers and industries.
- Develop environmental performance and strategies for sustainability metrics and goal setting, CO2 reduction, corporate remediation, and Environmental Management program implementation.
- Monitor pending environmental legislation and assist manufacturing facilities in understanding and complying with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Identify, track, and report on key performance indicators relevant to environmental aspects and impacts to drive accountability and performance measurement.
- Technical support and oversight and improvement of environmental information management systems.

- Provide indirect supervision and guidance of environmental professionals.
- BS degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental Engineering or related science with ten years of professional experience in an engineering or scientific field implementing environmental activities to conserve natural resources; working in an environmental management system; or environmental regulatory compliance assurance.
- Computer literacy and ability to manipulate and develop spreadsheets and help design or improve databases.
- Ability to perform research work, make mathematical computations and provide comprehensive and innovative recommendations on environmental engineering issues.
- Pollution prevention mindset with drive for process standardization and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of environmental engineering.
- Strong organizational agility to enhance cross-functional communication and collaboration.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of organization.
- Strong ability to self-direct work with broad guidance and input from management.
- Ability to travel around 30-50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with EPA MACT "Air" regulations.
- Experience with Intelex or environmental management information systems.
- Experience conducting/participating in environmental auditing.
- Environmental Credentials (e.g., CHMM, PG, PE etc.).
