Job Summary
The Food Server is responsible for creating the overall dining experience for our guests. The role will be accountable for interacting with guests, taking food & beverage orders as well as ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
Job Duties
  • Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome upon seating.
  • Guide guest through all phases of their experience at the restaurant.
  • Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by management.
  • Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary.
  • Maintain table cleanliness utilizing silent table approach.
  • Itemized bills correctly and efficiently secure payment.
  • Ensure table side food service and quality presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned sections, side stations, tables and POS stations.
  • Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Review identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.
  • Maintain level of professionalism that will make guest want to return.
  • Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques of all menu items; food, non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages.
  • Deliver food & beverages, including alcoholic options to guests.
  • Provide proper communication and promptly resolve guest issues.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Work as a team, assisting all guests' needs and inquiries.
  • Ensure all Conrad Nashville core values as well as property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Bid farewell to guests, using guest's name when known and encourage them to return.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility of similar caliber preferred.
  • Experience in fast paced, high volume atmosphere.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and
  • department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, write & speak fluent English.

Physical Requirements
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors, temperature can be very hot with or without control of environmental systems.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to maneuver between stations and areas efficiently and easily
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Requires manual dexterity
  • Must be flexible to work any day of the week, weekends, and holidays if assigned
