K & G Petroleum LLC is a privately owned, growing company involved in all areas of fuel and convenience stores with branded Conoco, 7-11 and Jenny’s Market stations across the Denver metro area. 

We are looking to hire a self motivated Assistant Manager, to join our team.  The Assistant manager position is responsible for maintaining and operating a Company-owned retail facility in a safe, customer focused, and profitable manner.  Support the Store Manager in daily operations, managing employees, and the store, especially when the manager is not in the store. This includes supervision and training of employees; trouble shooting daily close out and shift sales; and assisting Store Manager with shift coverages. We are looking for a candidate who possesses a positive, team oriented, management style. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in managing the store in regard to daily operations, employees, payroll, merchandizing, customer relations.
  • Maintain good customer relation and resolving customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and transmit the daily bookkeeping, invoicing and gasoline data as required
  • Ability to complete daily banking
  • Troubleshoot daily close out and shift sales analysis
  • Assist the Store Manager with shift coverage in the event there are no other employees available to work
  • Safeguard and account for cash received and disbursed, and be responsible for banking requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in retail sales required.
  • Experience in 7-Eleven is preferred.
  • Experience in managing a retail sales location is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Full understanding of competitive relationships and market drivers
  • Strong merchandising skills
