Mechanic / Automotive Technician

Location: South Downing Conoco – 2400 S. Downing, Denver, CO, 80210

Starting at $19.29 hr. + commission

Full Time - The first month of employment is considered a probationary period. This will allow the employee to evaluate the role, company culture, and allows the company to assess the employee’s skills.

G&S Services Company has served Colorado for over 50 years. We are a family-owned business in the convenience store and service station business.

G&S Services Company is looking for a dependable Mechanic / Automotive Technician to provide general repair, maintenance, and inspections for our South Downing Conoco (2400 S. Downing, Denver, CO 80210) location in Denver. We are looking for someone that we can develop in automotive service as well as customer service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and recommend repair options to customers
  • Oil & Filter changes Tire Rotations & Repair
  • Maintenance Inspections Fluid Top-offs
  • Explain repair recommendations and answer questions in a manner that the customer feels confident in their decision to use our service station for their vehicle needs
  • Manual automotive tasks while in a limited space may include bending, reaching/stretching, crouching, twisting, standing, walking, light, and heavy lifting
  • Work independently and as a team while showing professionalism when working with vendors, employees, and customers.
  • Continue to learn/educate to stay current in the automotive industry
  • Follow safety policies and procedures

Key Skills:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Multi-tasking, problem solving, friendliness and willingness to work as a team
  • Organization, time management, and detail orientation
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays
  • Previous experience a plus
  • Valid driver’s license – with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel/Word/Outlook a plus
