Our progressive Engineering Team at our office in Austin, TX seeks a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer with 5-10+ years of experience. We want someone with a desire to exceed expectations and a commitment to ensuring the built environment matches the design intent. We need someone who can give critical insight to project teams on a variety of construction types to help our clients achieve their goals.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for working with engineering team members and coordinating consultant responsibilities of studies, design, or construction documents of various scale projects.

  • Work in a team environment supporting Education, Healthcare and Commercial projects
  • Work collaboratively with our firm's integrated engineers and architects in Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas
  • Provide full design of mechanical system plans and specs
  • Perform construction administration of mechanical systems
  • Design HVAC controls

We're looking for passionate, driven self-starters. Beyond that, you'll need…

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 5-10+ years of professional MEP design experience in an engineering firm
  • Experience with healthcare or education projects
  • Revit experience - experience coordinating MEP models within a multidiscipline BIM environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes, energy codes, and MEP-related standards including but not limited to IMC, NEC, and NFPA
  • Familiarity with engineering calculations - load calculations, equipment sizing, duct and pipe sizing, etc
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and with clients
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Newforma a plus
  • PE licensure or active pursuit of PE licensure is a plus, but not required
