What is a connectivity source?

A Connectivity Source typically refers to a company or service provider that specializes in offering connectivity solutions, such as internet, phone, and network services, to businesses or individuals. They act as intermediaries between customers and various telecommunications providers, helping clients find and manage the best connectivity options for their needs. Connectivity Sources often provide consulting, installation, and ongoing support to ensure reliable and efficient communication infrastructure. Their expertise helps businesses optimize network performance and reduce costs by sourcing competitive options from multiple carriers.

What are common challenges faced by connectivity source specialists, and how can they be addressed?

Connectivity Source specialists often encounter challenges such as troubleshooting complex network issues, managing multiple connectivity platforms, and ensuring seamless integration with various systems. Staying current with rapidly evolving technology standards and maintaining clear communication with both technical and non-technical teams are also key aspects of the role. Professionals can address these challenges by continuously updating their technical knowledge, leveraging diagnostic tools, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and secure connectivity solutions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a connectivity sales associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Connectivity Sales Associate, you need strong sales acumen, product knowledge in wireless and telecommunication services, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, mobile devices, and CRM software is commonly required. Outstanding communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills help build rapport and drive sales performance. These skills and qualifications are vital to effectively match customer needs with the right connectivity solutions and ensure a positive retail experience.

Job description

Awardco is reimagining the workplace to be more rewarding, supportive, and fun for everyone. As one of the fastest-growing companies in the employee experience industry, our mission is to help employees love what they do, love where they work, and get recognized for their efforts-especially our own employees! And as winners of Glassdoor's Best Places to Work, Best in Brightest in the Nation, and Great Place to Work, we do much more than talk the talk.

As Awardco scales, so does the complexity of the systems that run our business. We've reached the point where we need a dedicated architect - not just an engineer - to own the strategic layer of our systems ecosystem: the layer that sits above the infrastructure and security substrate owned by IT/Security, and below (and feeds) the Data and AI layers our company is increasingly built on. This person will be the connective tissue between Systems Ops, IT/Security, and our Data/AI architects, ensuring we have one cohesive, simplified, well-integrated infrastructure strategy rather than a patchwork of point solutions. If you think in blueprints, love turning ambiguity into a clear architectural point of view, and want to shape how a fast-scaling SaaS company's systems foundation is built, this is your seat.

What you will do:Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Vision
  • Define and own the enterprise systems architecture strategy across Business Operations, GTM, and internal platforms - establishing and stewarding the architectural layer that sits above core IT/Security infrastructure and feeds a clean, reliable foundation into the Data and AI ecosystem.
  • Partner closely with IT/Security to ensure systems architecture is built on a secure, compliant, well-governed foundation, without owning that substrate directly.
  • Partner closely with Data and AI architects and teams to make sure downstream systems, integrations, and data models are AI- and analytics-ready - clean, well-modeled, and reliably queryable.
  • Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, reference architectures, system maps, and integration diagrams that give the business a single source of truth for 'how our systems fit together.'
  • Produce solution briefs and "art of the possible" concepts that translate technical architecture into strategic options leadership can act on.
  • Proactively surface strategic infrastructure moves - consolidation opportunities, technical debt to retire, platforms to rationalize - before they become urgent problems.
Systems Design & Delivery
  • Own end-to-end architecture for complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning Salesforce and Awardco's broader business systems ecosystem.
  • Establish and maintain architecture standards, integration patterns, and governance practices that the Systems Ops team builds against.
  • Design scalable, forward-looking integration patterns - APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture, and emerging AI-connectivity patterns such as MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and tool-use APIs that let AI systems act across business platforms.
  • Guide the team on when to apply deterministic automation versus AI-based reasoning, and how to evaluate AI tooling trade-offs in a production business-systems context.
  • Review and approve architecture for major system changes before they ship, acting as a technical quality gate for scalability, security posture, and integration hygiene.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
  • Serve as the primary architecture partner across Systems Ops, IT/Security, Data/AI, RevOps, Product, and Engineering - the person those teams call when a decision needs an architectural point of view.
  • Present infrastructure strategy, roadmap, and trade-offs to executive leadership in clear, business-relevant terms.
  • Mentor and upskill Business Systems Engineers on architectural thinking, secure design principles, and integration best practices, raising the bar for the whole team.
  • Help define what "good" looks like for the Systems Ops function as it matures from an execution-focused team into one with a real architectural practice.
What you will bring:
  • 8+ years of experience in Business Systems, Enterprise Architecture, or Systems/Solutions Engineering, with deep hands-on Salesforce expertise (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud; CPQ and Revenue Cloud Advanced strongly preferred).
  • * Demonstrated experience owning architecture strategy across multiple systems and teams - not just designing one system, but defining how systems relate to each other.
  • * Expert in Event-Driven Distributed Systems and Multi-Tenant Partner Provisioning to build our end-to-end marketplace and fulfillment pipeline.
  • * Strong understanding of system integration patterns (APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture) and data modeling, including semantic layers that expose business data in formats AI systems can reliably reason over.
  • * Strong working knowledge of AI/LLM connectivity patterns (MCP servers, tool-use APIs, agentic workflows) and how they change integration and data
