In this role, you will support the planning, execution, and leadership of banquet operations while ensuring exceptional service, strong team coordination, and memorable experiences for our Members and guests.

What will be expected of you:

  • Perform all duties required of a Banquet Server as needed
  • Supervise and support Banquet Team Members in a professional, respectful, and effective manner
  • Create and manage department schedules to ensure efficient and well-staffed events
  • Communicate clearly and calmly with Culinary, Catering Sales, hosts, and banquet teams to ensure timely and seamless event execution
  • Prepare accurate banquet recaps for accounting and reporting purposes
  • Acknowledge guests promptly and respond to needs regardless of event size or timing
  • Oversee and maintain food quality and service standards
  • Collaborate closely with the Catering Sales Team to plan and execute events at the highest level
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact to ensure guest expectations are met or exceeded
  • Conduct interviews and clearly communicate role expectations to candidates
  • Partner with the Catering Director and Catering Team to evaluate strategies and identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience
  • Communicate departmental vision and track progress toward operational goals
  • Review labor needs and scheduling to balance service excellence with efficiency
  • Lead regular staff meetings, including pre-shift and post-shift meetings, to build engagement and alignment
  • Provide Banquet Housepersons with detailed event information and timelines
  • Order and receive banquet supplies
  • Conduct daily line-ups, check-ins, and monthly inventory
  • Must have full availability, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

How do we determine your qualifications?

  • Three years of banquet experience in a hotel or club environment (preferred)
  • Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Availability to work peak operating times, including weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds as required for event operations
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership and people-management abilities
  • Ability to remain composed and service-focused in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Prior serving experience (preferred)
