Job description

Description
Anchor closed $40M in top-tier VC funding, and grew 500% last year, transforming the $74B services payments market. Our platform automates billing and collections so businesses can focus on growth.
We're hiring an AI-First Director of Partnerships to build and scale Anchor's partner ecosystem and drive partner-sourced revenue. This is a quota-carrying leadership role for someone who's equal parts builder and closer, skilled at turning relationships into revenue and ideas into scalable, AI-powered programs.
You'll define a new playbook for building, activating, and growing fintech alliances, combining creativity, commercial instincts, and AI-driven precision. AI isn't a layer on top of this role. It's about identifying the right partners, activating them faster, measuring what matters, and scaling what works.
Reporting to the COO. Player-coach. Entrepreneurial mindset. AI hands-on experience. Deeply tech savvy - you build, configure, and adopt tools yourself, you don't wait for someone else to set them up. High-energy. Fast-paced. Hungry to grow.
The AI-First Mandate
Anchor is building an AI-first organization from the ground up. This isn't a transformation project - it's how we operate by default. As the leader of Partnerships, you will be expected to drive exponential value by turning every process in your function into an AI-first workflow: using AI to identify and score partner opportunities, automate activation and enablement sequences, track performance without manual reporting, and scale what works faster than any traditional partnerships motion could.
You will be accountable for continuously auditing your function and eliminating work that AI can own. If a human is doing it and AI can do it better or faster, you build the system. Speed of AI adoption and measurable productivity leverage per partner are core performance metrics in this role.
Responsibility
  • Own partnership revenue. Carry a quota and deliver measurable growth from partner-sourced and co-sell opportunities.
  • Build the partner ecosystem. Design and execute strategies to attract, activate, and scale strategic, technology, and service partnerships. Use AI to identify high-fit partners, score opportunities, and prioritize where to invest time.
  • Create the playbook. Define how partnerships are structured, enabled, and monetized. Build repeatable, AI-enhanced motions for onboarding, enablement, and value creation.
  • Lead the business plan. Own a comprehensive partnerships plan including strategic priorities, operational roadmap, and expected business impact.
  • Drive partner success. Keep partners engaged, high-performing, and aligned through clear success metrics and AI-driven performance tracking.
  • Innovate programs and incentives. Develop scalable models, co-marketing initiatives, and performance-based rewards. Use AI to personalize partner engagement and optimize program ROI.
  • Leverage data and AI insights. Track partner contribution, pipeline impact, and ROI with AI-powered analytics. Let data guide decisions on where to double down and where to cut.
  • Recruit and develop talent. Build and mentor a high-performing partnerships team that's AI-fluent and commercially sharp.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and CS to ensure unified GTM execution and feed AI models with cross-functional data.

Requirements
  • Director: 8+ years in B2B SaaS, with 3+ years in leadership roles tied to revenue. Experience managing managers is ideal.
  • AI-first mindset with results to show. You've used AI to build, scale, or optimize partnership programs or revenue motions - and you can name the tools, the workflows you automated, and the measurable impact. Not theoretical; practical and proven.
  • Proven quota carrier who has exceeded revenue targets through partnerships or direct sales.
  • Ecosystem builder. Experience creating partnership programs or revenue ecosystems from the ground up.
  • Deeply tech savvy. Comfortable with CRM, GTM, and AI-driven analytics tools - and you configure them yourself. You evaluate and adopt new AI tooling quickly, and you build systems others use rather than waiting for someone to build them for you.
  • Strong executive presence and negotiation skills with C-level stakeholders.
  • Hands-on operator who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Player-coach. Strategic thinker who leads by example and develops people.
  • Data-driven. Makes decisions based on partner data, AI insights, and pipeline metrics, not instinct alone.
  • Startup grit. Fast, creative, resourceful.
