Job Title: Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Tech Lead
Location: San Antonio, TX

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Tech Lead with deep hands-on expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and integrations. The ideal candidate will lead configuration and technical design efforts for enterprise-scale Guidewire implementations, working closely with business, integration, and digital teams to deliver high-quality solutions for Tier-1 US insurers.
Key Responsibilities
Guidewire PolicyCenter Leadership
  • Act as Configuration Tech Lead for Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations.
  • Lead design and development of PolicyCenter core configurations, ensuring adherence to Guidewire best practices and enterprise standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to configuration and integration teams.
Implementation & Migration
  • Participate in and lead end-to-end Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations, including at least two full lifecycle projects in Personal Lines or Commercial Lines.
  • Lead or support implementations of PolicyCenter v10 in SaaS model or migrations from on-prem/self-managed environments to Guidewire SaaS.
  • Support deployment and post-production stabilization activities.
Configuration & Development
  • Design and develop PCFs, business rules, data models, and GUnit test cases.
  • Configure and customize PolicyCenter modules in alignment with insurance product requirements.
  • Ensure configuration quality, performance, and maintainability.
Integration & Digital Enablement
  • Design and implement integrations between Guidewire PolicyCenter and external/custom portals.
  • Develop and support integrations using GOSU, REST services, message queues, and batch processes.
  • Work with Guidewire Cloud Data Access Platform for reporting and data access needs.
Domain & Collaboration
  • Apply strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain knowledge to solution design and delivery.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, digital teams, and integration partners across multiple workstreams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 6-8 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • ACE Certified in Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration.
  • Proven experience implementing Guidewire PolicyCenter for a Tier-1 US insurer.
  • Minimum 2 full lifecycle Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations (Personal Lines or Commercial Lines).
  • Strong experience with PolicyCenter v10 SaaS implementations or on-prem to SaaS migrations.
  • Hands-on expertise in PCFs, business rules, data models, and GUnit testing.
  • Strong integration experience using GOSU, REST APIs, messaging, and batch processing.
  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud Data Access Platform.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
