The Opportunity:
CACI has a need to add an experienced Configuration Manager to its technical team in Omaha, NE. This position requires travel in the continental United States for various projects.
Responsibilities:
Logistics & Equipment Custodian Duties
  • Serve as the primary equipment custodian and logistics lead, managing the comprehensive lifecycle of all hardware (HW) and software (SW) assets, including receiving, tracking, and disposition.
  • Maintain a detailed equipment inventory of systems/sub-systems and proactively track HW/SW renewals for all supported sites.
  • Conduct regular Physical Configuration Audits and Inventories to ensure strict property control accountability.

Configuration & Data Management
  • Apply configuration and data management control disciplines to the design, development, and support of software, hardware, and other complex systems.
  • Maintain a configuration baseline (including upgrade efforts) and manage changes related to engineering drawings to reflect the customer's current requirements.
  • Assists in developing, analyzing, and maintaining tools that support and automate processes for establishing and maintaining consistency of a product or solution's performance, functional, and technical attributes and its requirements, design, and technical specifications throughout its lifecycle.
  • Develops standards, processes, and controls supporting product/solution configuration, data management, and release activities.
  • Efficient response to customer-driven changes, managing schedules and resources.
  • Track, manage, and analyze engineering drawings, process specifications, and documentation while upholding agreed-upon security standards.
  • Ensure data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data.

System Engineering & Technical Support
  • Familiar with the implementation of complex engineering solutions for critical systems, including the engineering, implementation, operations, and maintenance of C4 systems.
  • Familiar with the design and implementation of technologies/interfaces supporting the operational capability of senior leadership and facilities.
  • Familiar with installation, integration, and test activities in support of C4 systems.
  • Familiar with computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) applications to support technical services, CM, and repository maintenance.
  • Familiar with USSTRATCOM common IT systems and engineering SW tools (ServiceNow, AutoCAD, and NetTerrain)
  • Actively develop and maintain the Logistic Control Number (LCN) database, spreadsheets, and repositories to track system hierarchies and support Physical Configuration Audits.

Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as a liaison among management, technical staff, and subject matter advisors to troubleshoot problems and develop cost-effective solutions for data anomalies.
  • Maintain open verbal and written communication with all stakeholders, including customer representatives, technical, and management teams.
  • Use professional business judgment to plan/accomplish goals and actively encourage stakeholders to meet common objectives.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • An Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • BS/BA in science, technology, engineering, business administration, computer science, information systems or equivalent experience (5 years' experience in performing CM functions to include logistical support, item management and property control)
  • Demonstrated experience in support of DoD or other federal agency in a configuration management/logistics capacity

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
