Title:
Senior Configuration Manager
KBR is seeking a Senior Configuration Management / System Integration Engineer to provide SETA support to the Space Rapid Capabilities Office. The selected candidate will support engineering configuration management, system/subsystem integration, interface definition, technical documentation control, capability baseline status, data analysis, and coordination across mission partners for ground and space-related systems in a high-tempo classified environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, recommend, implement, and sustain configuration management procedures for engineering change plans, control procedures, support procedures, program baselines, and technical documentation.
  • Perform complex data research and analysis to support management, engineering, and technical projects; prepare data formats, spreadsheets, reports, information products, and status documentation.
  • Record, track, and maintain program, capability, interface, and configuration status documents; generate special reports and progress reports as needed.
  • Assist engineers and program staff in determining requirements for current and future projects, including interface definitions and documentation needed to support delivery milestones.
  • Maintain or advise on software/hardware management plans and procedures to support accountability for COTS, GOTS, and associated hardware/software, including licenses where applicable.
  • Track and integrate applicable open architecture, enterprise ground, and universal C2/interface standards to support technology refresh, insertion, service interoperability, and mission system integration.
  • Oversee and advise Government program management on integration across full spectrum of interfaces, including coordination with multiple mission partners.
  • Coordinate configuration and integration working groups and ensure program/capability documentation is defined to operationally needed levels.
  • Provide system and subsystem integration technical expertise for emerging space-related mission areas and communicate recommendations clearly and accurately in oral and written form.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, applied science, systems engineering, configuration management, or related technical discipline; equivalent experience only if permitted by contract and approved by HR/Compensation.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant DoD/IC, Government, or industry experience in configuration management, systems engineering, system integration, engineering data management, ground systems, or space-related mission systems.
  • Experience with technical baselines, engineering change control, configuration status accounting, system/subsystem integration, interface documentation, and technical data/reporting products.
  • Understanding of space operational environments, mission-user needs, space system engineering, development, integration, and manufacturing concepts.
  • Experience supporting DoD program management, Integrated Master Schedules, risk management, SOW/PWS interpretation, and program transition activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across engineering teams, program management, mission partners, and Government stakeholders in classified or controlled environments.
  • Strong technical writing, documentation management, data analysis, and briefing skills.

Desired:
  • Prior SETA support to a Government program office.
  • Five or more years of relevant SAP and/or SCI experience, with recent experience preferred.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, ACAT I/II acquisition programs, integrated air/space/cyber capabilities, and classified mission environments.
  • Experience planning, facilitating, or evaluating exercises, training materials, guides, or operational procedures when these duties support configuration/integration readiness.
  • Familiarity with IC organizations and classified mission partner coordination.
  • Experience supporting system acceptance planning, interface control working groups, or operational test/readiness activities.
