We are seeking a capable and well-rounded Systems Administrator / Systems Analyst to join our Aerospace Development and Support team.

Based in Gander, Newfoundland, and reporting to the Director of Aerospace Development & Support, this is a 4-month contract position with the potential to become permanent based on organizational needs. In this role, you will work with a diverse set of tools and processes to support our aircraft maintenance software and deliver exceptional customer service as part of our Aerospace support team.

What You Will Do:
  • Responsible for the support of a branch office, including server, client, and network infrastructure.
  • Technologies in use: Hyper-V, Veeam, Docker, Linux, Windows Server & Desktop, Oracle, Ansible.
  • Maintain strict configuration management of Windows servers and clients, including Operating System, Custom Software, and utilities.
  • Support and maintain a LAN of up to 30+ Windows clients and associated network devices.
  • Act as System Expert using proprietary applications.
  • Provide best-effort after-hours support in conjunction with the larger support team.
  • Ensure that backups are complete and verified.
  • Perform regular issue management & reporting.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the Aerospace team.
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology desirable, or equivalent work experience.
  • Diverse support skill set with background in Microsoft Server Administration, Active Directory, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of database administration, including working knowledge of SQL.
  • Solid understanding of basic networking, backup, and data recovery procedures.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with a track record for meeting deadlines and managing high levels of responsibility.
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal business hours.
  • Eligible to acquire enhanced reliability security clearance.
