The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 6 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.
Job Summary
Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Configuration Management Specialist to manage the release and control of engineering technical data consisting of engineering drawings and documents, CAD model data, and some software. This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO facility and will have the option to work an in person or hybrid schedule. This person will work with other Configuration Management (CM) personnel under the supervision of the group manager. This position will be responsible for performing day to day configuration management activities on one or more development and manufacturing programs utilizing an existing PLM system. In this role, the individual will work closely with the program teams which include stakeholders from engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality, to facilitate the implementation of configuration management activities. We would be willing to consider applicants with a background in Manufacturing Engineering, Material Management, Quality, or other support roles who have knowledge and experience with the CM control processes considering a career change. This is not a data analysis position.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the release and control of engineering technical data within our PLM system.
  • Assist in coordinating the development, implementation, and maintenance of configuration management systems.
  • Participate in design reviews, audits, schedules, budgets, etc.
  • Utilize product data management tools.
  • Assist in the preparation of configuration management contract data item submittals to established delivery schedules.
  • Provide support to the Product Data Manager and Engineering technical staff.
  • Responsible for regular reporting of progress and status.
  • Communicate (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • May analyze proposed design changes to determine the effect on the overall system.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in engineering or related technical field (CAD data systems) OR equivalent combination of education and experience

The salary range for this position is $49,624.00/year- $64,511.00/year for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
